Kathy Knauer

Kathy Knauer is the Executive Producer of The Allegheny Front. She came to radio by accident, volunteering to help out a little then got roped in - that was over 10 years ago. For many years she was an environmental scientist with the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority and worked with the 3 Rivers 2nd Nature project at Carnegie Mellon University managing a water quality survey of Pittsburgh's three rivers and small watersheds. She has a Master of Science in Environmental Health from the Graduate School of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh.

You can find Kathy hiking in her back yard that is Frick Park in the City of Pittsburgh with her husband Josh, daughter Olivia, son Adam and dog Simon.
