The Nature Conservancy recently spearheaded the purchase of 10,000 acres of forestland in Elk County. The man behind this deal and others, some involving millions of acres, is Bill Ginn, the Nature Conservancy’s chief conservation program officer. Ginn is considered a pioneer in private sector investing to protect timberland. He sits down to talk about the state of the world's forests with the Allegheny Front's Deborah Weisberg.
