As we continue our series on children and nature, we hear from kids themselves. Some youngsters are getting outside and exploring nature--climbing trees, looking for creatures, and just enjoying the fresh air. Three students from Centre County wrote essays about their favorite things to do outside--6th grader Stephanie Mays of Mount Nittany Middle School, and 3rd graders Marshall Wertz of Miles Township Elementary School, and Sophie McQuaide of Centre Hall-Potter Elementary School. Penns Valley Conservation Association assisted with the project.
