Pennsylvania is home to rich biodiversity, huge swaths of forests and thousands of miles of streams and rivers. But not all is well in Penn’s Woods. Forests are fragmented by roads, pipelines, and homes. Pollution from farms, roads and lawns runs into streams. Dams and culverts make it difficult for fish to navigate. Climate change and invasive species are making it even harder for species to survive.
Our reporters travel throughout the region to talk to the scientists, conservation groups and everyday people working save wildlife and their habitats in Pennsylvania. Stay tuned.
